Skopje, 13 June 2024 (MIA) - Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met Thursday with Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, discussing traditionally excellent bilateral relations.

"I hope this dynamics will increase in the coming period. Turkey is an important friend and ally of North Macedonia. More than 30 years of diplomatic relations are behind us and we have built many bridges between our citizens over this period," said FM Osmani.

According to him, the recent opening of an honorary consulate in Antalya, but also in Edirne and Amasya, will contribute to the enlargement of cooperation, especially in the fields of trade and tourism.

Osmani and Fidan also discussed multilateral cooperation, with a focus on NATO, and exchanged opinions on other foreign policy issues, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
