FM Osmani meets his Montenegrin counterpart Krivokapic in Berlin

Skopje, 14 May 2022 (MIA) - On the sidelines of the informal meeting NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, FM Bujar Osmani met Saturday with his Montenegrin counterpart Ranko Krivokapic.
Congratulating the formation of a new Government in Montenegro and the appointment of Krivokapic as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Osmani underscored the great partnership and friendly relations between the two countries, voicing hope that this partnership will continue in the next period.
"North Macedonia and Montenegro are fostering good and intensive cooperation, but also understanding in terms of completing our mutual strategic goals, which with the war in Ukraine gain an important, as well as crucial, security and geopolitical dimension," Osmani said, pointing to mutual interest for EU membership of both countries.
It is a process of regional and even wider interest, as an important input in creating the future security architecture of both the Western Balkans and Europe, Osmani added.
The two officials exchanged opinions on the war in Ukraine, condemning Russia's military aggression, stressing that it violates basic principles of international law and poses a serious threat to Europe's security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
