FM Osmani in official visit to Sweden
- Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani will pay an official visit Wednesday to Sweden, which is currently presiding over the Council of the European Union. Osmani’s delegation includes the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs, Arber Ademi, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release.
Skopje, 14 March 2023 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani will pay an official visit Wednesday to Sweden, which is currently presiding over the Council of the European Union. Osmani’s delegation includes the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs, Arber Ademi, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release.
The MFA said Foreign Minister Osmani will meet with his Swedish counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Tobias Billström, the Speaker of the Swedish Riksdag, Andreas Norlén, and with the Director-General of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), Carin Jämtin.
“The meetings will focus on North Macedonia’s EU accession process and the Swedish priorities for the Western Balkans as part of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union; our OSCE Chairpersonship with an emphasis on the political and security issues in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine; stability and security in the Western Balkan region; the bilateral relations and the Swedish development aid for North Macedonia,” the Macedonian MFA said in the press release. ad/sk/
