Skopje, 16 July 2022 (MIA) - This is my final appeal to the MPs. We've had a heated and emotional debate, but the country must move forward. The citizens have not entrusted us with giving up, but with leading and providing a better future. It's time we summed up the impressions and provided European future for the country, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani says Saturday. Writing in a Facebook post, he says that an intensive period of comprehensive consultations over the French proposal has passed. "It wasn't easy, nor simple, the process causes emotional reaction and I admit that at times they made us also anxious, the ones in the process not to allow to be overcome by emotions," Osmani adds. "Whether we like it or nor, whether they gave us a headache, these comprehensive consultations after all were productive creating clear lines of watchfulness, manual if you will as to where and how to act further in the EU integration process. I accept all the concerns as an authentic expression of attentiveness, which through the conclusions in Parliament now will become a task for the government, for myself and the whole negotiating team. We get the message and we are prepared to respond to all challenges," the FM writes. Osmani urges that now's the time to draw the line calling on the lawmakers to provide European future for the country. "We have a lot to do and myriad challenges ahead, but if something has taught us in our brief modern history, it is that all challenges no matter how complex we have managed to over come and continue on our European and Euro-Atlantic path," says his Facebook post.
