FM Osmani holds working meetings in Tallinn 
Skopje, 10 November 2022 (MIA) - Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, in addition to meeting with his Estonian counterpart Urmas Reinsalu in Tallinn during an official visit, also met with Parliament Speaker Jüri Ratas and officials of the Estonian Center for International Development, which is part of a digitization project in North Macedonia. Osmani and Ratas at their meeting reaffirmed the friendly relations and cooperation based on mutual respect and trust in the past three decades, the Foreign Ministry said. They stressed the need to intensify parliamentary cooperation with Minister Osmani calling for the establishment of a parliamentary cooperation group with North Macedonia in the Estonian parliament. Also, Osmani during the meeting informed about current developments as regards Skopje's EU integration process, cooperation in NATO and the situation in the Western Balkans through the prism of security and the region's European perspective and the need for a dialogue to find acceptable solution for closing open issues, said the press release. Praising the countries' relations, Ratas called for the existing potential to be used. In the context of the geopolitical situation following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he highlighted the importance of the strengthening of the NATO eastern flank as well as solidarity and unity among NATO members and partners. Osmani and Ratas also discussed North Macedonia's OSCE chairmanship in 2023 saying they hoped that close cooperation and support will be established. For the purpose of enhancing the established cooperation between North Macedonia and Estonia in digitization, Minister Osmani met with Andrea Kivi and Eva Maria Liimets of the Estonian Center for International Cooperation for a mutual briefing on the course of the project implemented on the basis of a cooperation memorandum signed by North Macedonia, Estonia and the United States for digitizing services, said the press release.
