Skopje, 23 November 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani is taking part November 23-24 at the 7th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean in Barcelona, at the invitation of Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares Bueno, Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell. On Thursday, FM Osmani will attend the formal act of North Macedonia’s accession to the Union for the Mediterranean, followed by active participation at the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. At the forum sidelines, Osmani is set to meet with Spanish counterpart Albares and other counterparts representing Union for the Mediterranean member-states. Union for the Mediterranean was founded at the first summit of heads of state and government of the Euro-Mediterranean region in Paris in 2008. It represents a framework for multilateral relations between the EU and Mediterranean countries not part of the Union.
