FM Mucunski meets Czech counterpart Lipavský

Skopje, 5 November 2024 (MIA) - As part of his working visit to Czechia, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Tuesday with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský. In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said the visit reflects the country’s commitment to building a firm partnership, based on mutual respect and shared values.
The Ministry said the two ministers welcomed the dynamic and continued political dialogue between the two countries and the excellent bilateral cooperation that has been in place for 30 years.
“Additionally, mutual commitments on the intensification of economic cooperation were voiced, and a significant economic event was initiated that will act as an excellent opportunity to enhance the cooperation between our countries. The meeting also discussed a series of important issues, including trade, migration, as well as cultural and educational cooperation,” the Ministry said in the press release.
The talks also touched upon current geopolitical issues, especially Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, with the ministers announcing a deepening of cooperation in the field of international law, the Ministry said.
According to the Ministry, Minister Mucunski voiced gratitude for the continued and clear support that Czechia has provided for the country’s EU accession process, reflected through its active role in the Visegrad Group and the “Friends of the Western Balkans” group.
