FM Mucunski has farewell meeting with Australian Ambassador Emery
- In the meeting, Minister Mucunski thanked Ambassador Emery for his significant contribution to strengthening the countries’ bilateral ties during his term, the Foreign Ministry said.
Skopje, 15 January 2025 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, held Wednesday a farewell meeting with Australian Ambassador Daniel Emery.
In the meeting, Minister Mucunski thanked Ambassador Emery for his significant contribution to strengthening the countries’ bilateral ties during his term, the Foreign Ministry said.
Talks also focused on observing the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral ties between the countries and the key role played by the Macedonian diaspora in Australia, considered a bridge to connect the people of the two countries and a key factor in bilateral cooperation.
An accent was put on ways to improve economic cooperation and increase trade of goods between the countries.
Minister Mucunski and Ambassador Emergy also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in several areas of joint interest, including education, science, healthcare, culture and tourism. They shared views on current political and security developments in the region and beyond, said the press release.
