Skopje, 23 December 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski says there is active dialogue with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on reaching two agreements - for strategic partnership and free trade.

FM Mucunski told 360 Degrees the UAE has shown serious interest to invest in the country.

"Our goal is to build a specific and special partnership, because this is a country that has realized capital projects and which we share the same positions with. There is active dialogue between the countries' ministries on a strategic partnership agreement, which will facilitate mutual investments, and a free trade agreement," says Mucunski.

According to him, the interest coming from the UAE is clear and specific, adding "they can provide the funding, whereas the portfolio of interests is broad".

Regarding the pace of investment decisions, Mucunski says it is a complex process that requires a cautious and responsible approach.
