FITD issues public call supporting Macedonian startup ecosystem
Skopje, 9 June 2022 (MIA) – The Fund for Innovation and Technology Development (FITD) has issued Thursday a public call Startup 4, which stands at €2.6 million non-refundable funds supporting the Macedonian startup ecosystem. The public call Startup 4 provides easier application conditions and facilitated financial access for start-ups and spin-off companies, the FITD said in a press release. “The goal is to encourage innovation in companies and the realization of their business ideas. Funding will be granted to projects with a clear commercialization goal that are in the prototype and up to premarket phase,” reads the press release. A team consisted of maximum five physical entities can apply at the public call. Applicant is obliged within 30 calendar days after receiving the notification for selection of the project proposal, to establish a trade company in which at least 51% of the team members will appear as founders. Financial support will cover activities for research and development, development of pilot programmes, product or service, testing and validation activities. The public call will be open until 2 pm on August 8.
