First Deputy PM Sali meets with DG ENEST Director General Koopman

Skopje, 3 February 2026 (MIA) - Implementation of the Reform Agenda and the Growth Plan, progress in digitization, as well as key reforms in the Euro-integration process were discussed at Tuesday's meeting between First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs Bekim Sali with the Director General of the European Union’s Directorate General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST), Gert Jan Koopman, held in Brussels.

According to the Ministry of European Affairs, the meeting highlighted concrete benefits for the citizens and the business community, including the country’s accession to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), as well as the promotion of digital initiatives, including the WiFi4WB project. 

“Interlocutors also exchanged views of the third request for release of funds as part of the Reform Agenda, the implementation of reform roadmaps, as well as ongoing challenges related to the Entry/Exit System and the European Union’s trade policies,” the Ministry said.

According to the Ministry, the meeting also stressed the importance of continued cooperation and effective interinstitutional coordination for a successful fulfillment of shared goal.
