Berovo, 28 October 2024 (MIA) – Hotel guests had to be evacuated after a fire broke out near the Manastir hotel complex in Berovo. No one was injured and significant material damage was reported, which is yet to be determined.

The fire probably ignited from the barbeque, said Sashko Rumenovski commander of the Berovo firefighting unit.

“The fire was localized and part of the summer terrace was affected, but the firefighters prevented the blazes from spreading toward the rooms. There is huge material damage, however, the hotel wasn’t damaged,” he stated saying that 15 firemen and 4 fire engines were dispatched as well as firemen and vehicles from Vinica, Kochani and Strumica.

A women’s monastery, which is nearby the hotel, didn’t catch fire.
