Skopje, 20 August 2021 (MIA) – Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi held on Friday a meeting with the former and new Head of Cooperation in the EU Delegation to North Macedonia, Nicola Bertolini and Steffen Hudolin. They discussed at the meeting, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release, priorities in the area of public finance management and realization of ongoing projects backed by EU funds. Minister Besimi underlined that preparations are underway for the new Public Financial Management Reform Programme, which starts in 2022. “The World Bank’s and the International Monetary Fund’s estimates on public expenditures and financial accountability will be basis for determining the future reform priorities in public finance management,” the press release read.
