Skopje, 15 December 2021 (MIA) – The denar is stable. Let’s be careful about exchange rate speculation, because it benefits not one. The National Bank has appropriate instruments to protect the denar, Finance Minister Fatir Besimi said on Wednesday. “The exchange rate is fixed, the National Bank has enough foreign exchange reserves and has assured the public that it will protect the denar’s exchange rate at all cost. That’s the foundation of our economic model, our monetary system,” Besimi told reporters. Inflation, he added, stands within projections. International institutions, the Minister underlined, expect the situation at global level to stabilize in the second half of 2022.
