Skopje, 11 September 2024 (MIA) - Justice Minister Igor Filkov met Wednesday with Greek Ambassador Sophia Philippidou, discussing the excellent bilateral cooperation in various areas.

Talks focused on judiciary reforms, rule of law, and cooperation between the academies for judges and prosecutors of both countries, which will be of great importance for aligning with EU legislation, the Ministry of Justice said in a press release.

Greece supports North Macedonia's European aspirations and is prepared to offer expert assistance to facilitate the process by organizing workshops, official visits, and meetings with experts. This is expected to intensify the efforts for total and consistent implementation of the Prespa Agreement by both countries, reads the press release. ssh/ik/
