Skopje, 27 November 2024 (MIA) — The newly elected central board of the SDSM party held its first session on Wednesday evening and elected new members of the party's executive board, its vice presidents and secretaries.

Former Minister of Environment Kaja Shukova, law professor Ana Chupeska, Bitola councillor Metodija Ilievski and central board member Kristina Kostova from Shtip have been elected new vice presidents.

The party's new general secretary is Aleksandar Dimitrijevikj. Ljupcho Parmakovski from SDSM Centar and MP Martin Kostovski have been elected organizational secretaries.

"The meeting was held in an excellent atmosphere with a lot of energy and enthusiasm among the new central board members," SDSM leader Venko Filipche told a press conference after the session.

"We elected people who have new energy, personal integrity, a lot of knowledge, and working experience," he said.

The central board members were elected during the party's congress this past weekend.

SDSM president Filipche then announced that the entire new leadership would be elected by the end of this week. At the congress, Fani Karanfilova Panovska was elected deputy president of SDSM. mr/
