Filipche: Migrant resolution is unconstitutional, Third Reich-like speech ban
- SDSM leader Venko Filipche said Thursday the resolution on migrants adopted by the parliamentary majority is a direct blow to the constitutional order and democratic freedom.
Skopje, 25 December 2025 (MIA) - SDSM leader Venko Filipche said Thursday the resolution on migrants adopted by the parliamentary majority is a direct blow to the constitutional order and democratic freedom.
"I thought about asking something on migrants but you adopted an unconstitutional resolution that bans freedom of expression, freedom of speech and threatening with criminal charges, similar to the times of the Third Reich. The authorities say the resolution is the only truth," Filipche told a Q&A session in Parliament.
He said the document is a dangerous precedent and a clear attempt to silence the opposition.
Filipche said these actions have placed priority issues, such as judiciary reforms, on the sidelines.
"I thought about asking something on judiciary reforms, but I won't, because there is not a single reform law to talk about. Europe knows you are no longer its partners, knows you are not telling the truth when speaking with European officials," he added.
