Skopje, 30 August 2023 (MIA) - Now is the time when everyone should take a position, the European front is open to everyone, said Foreign Minister and DUI Vice-President Bujar Osmani, who refused to confirm whether the information is correct that there are talks about Arijanit Hoxha's European Democratic Party joining the Government.  

"I have no information about such a specific thing. What I can say is that the idea is to promote the European front. Never before has society been polarized between Europe and anti-Europe. Now is the time to break a lance, now when crossing the crossroads, it is time for everyone to take a position. That's why the European front is open to everyone regardless of political parties based on ethnicity, ideological affiliation or any other affiliation outside the EU, so there is a place in the European front for Arijanit Hoxha's party and other parties that believe the time is now. After Charles Michel's statement, there is no more room to waste any time," Osmani told reporters on Wednesday. 

As regards whether DUI will cede some of their seats in the Government, he said that the decision on that is made by the party.

"That should be the party's decision. Indeed, so far, I have not been a part of conversations in which that topic has been discussed, so I cannot confirm,," said Osmani. 

Currently, Hoxha's party is represented in Parliament with one MP, Bastri Bajrami, who acts as an independent MP.
