Strumica, 20 February 2024 (MIA) - Europe House Strumica marked Tuesday its third birthday. EU Ambassador David Geer and Strumica Mayor Kostadin Kostadinov addressed the event.

According to EU Ambassador Geer, Europe House Strumica has had over 200 events and 25,000 visitors in the past three years.  

"I sincerely hope that Europe House Strumica will retain these qualities, which have made and will make a difference in the next three years, and in the future. I hope that when young people come to Europe House Strumica, they will not only recognize the values they hold dear, but they will also prepare for their future, as future citizens of the EU," Geer said.

Strumica Mayor Kostadin Kostadinov noted that Europe House brings Strumica and the country closer to EU.

"When Europe House organizes such events, or when the EU Delegation supports such events, I feel both as a host and guest because the events are held in Strumica. Coming here, I have realized that this is the essence of EU - to be able to feel at home as a guest and feel at home everywhere," Kostadinov stressed.

An open panel-discussion entitled "Harmonizing Passion and Career" was also held as part of the celebration, attended by Tik Tok influencer Aleksandar Dinev, artist Natalija Lubeska, general manager of "Car Samuil" and Elena Luka brand manager Goran Mitrov, and subspecialist and psychiatrist Milijana Kacarska. ssh/nn/
