EU Minister Murtezani meets Korean Embassy Councilor Cho Ji Yi

Skopje, 20 November 2024 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani met Wednesday with Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bulgaria, Cho Ji Yi to accept a donation of vehicles, IT and office equipment in the amount of almost Mden 27 million for the improvement of the ministry's technical and administrative capacities, as part of the grant assistance for the project "Strengthening the Capacities of the Ministry of European Affairs", the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.

Minister Murtezani expressed gratitude to Cho Ji Yi and Korean Embassy for the donation, which is a reflection of the support that the Korean people have for the reform processes and institutional strengthening.

"Murtezani said that although bilateral cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and Republic of Korea is still in its early stages, this donation lays the foundations for future development of mutually beneficial relations, and that such assistance would contribute to greater efficiency in fulfilling our obligations in the European integration process, as well as for coordinating donor assistance," the press release reads.

He expressed confidence that this support will be used to advance the country’s institutional capacities and contribute to the common goal of building a modern, stable, and sustainable Republic of North Macedonia, ready to become part of the European family.sh/ad/
