Skopje, 10 September 2024 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani and Deputy Minister Viktorija Trajkov met Tuesday with head of the diplomatic office of the Republic of Lithuania in the country, Vilma Dambrauskienė, reaffirming friendly relations and good cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Murtezani said Lithuania's diplomatic office in Skopje opens opportunities and prospects for developing and strengthening relations, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.

Dambrauskienė confirmed Lithuania's strong support for North Macedonia on its Euro-integration path, which the country continuously gives to countries of the Western Balkans through the "Friends of Western Balkans" group, aimed at implementing economic development measures in the region.

Lithuania is an important partner to North Macedonia and a NATO ally, said the Ministry of European Affairs. ssh/ik/
