EU Ambassador Rokas visits Bitola

Skopje, 28 November 2024 (MIA) - EU Ambassador to North Macedonia, Michalis Rokas, will visit the Municipality of Bitola on Thursday.

The visit will kick-off with back-to-back meetings with Toni Konjanovski, Mayor of Bitola and the Municipal Council, the EU delegation said in a press release.

Later on, Ambassador Rokas will meet civil society representatives that are active in the areas of sustainable development, Roma activism, female rights and social entrepreneurship.

The visit will be wrapped at Europe House Bitola with a discussion with students from “St. Clement of Ohrid” university about the common regional market arising from the EU Growth Plan and the benefits that young people of North Macedonia can take from it.

“This is the first in the series of municipal visits of Ambassador Rokas since the start of his term of office in September 2024. The purpose is to outreach at local level to present the European Union and the integration process closer to the citizens, while discussing the benefits of the EU accession and the impact of the EU assistance on daily basis,” reads the press release.
