EU's Borrell: Resilience and reconciliation - two key words for W. Balkans
Berlin, 4 November 2022 (MIA) - The EU's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has expressed hopes that Belgrade's and Pristina's response to the German-French proposal on normalization of their relations will be a step forward in the dialogue process.
Speaking before the G7 meeting in Germany, he said that Serbia's and Kosovo's response to the proposal is expected in the coming days.
According to him, the Western Balkans will be one of the topics for discussions adding that reconciliation and resilience are the two key words for the region.
Resilience, the top EU official said, refers to increasing economic and political capacities to address challenges and reconciliation to overcoming legacies of the past.
Borrell also said that the EU is the biggest investor in the Western Balkans and the bloc support the region in its fight against disinformation, cyber attacks and hybrid threats coming from Russia.
