Skopje, 24 September 2025 (MIA) - A new e-system for registration and management of drug list applications was promoted in the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.

Health Minister Azir Aliu said the module represented the start of the digitalization of the procedure of putting a new drug on the positive list.

The module was developed by the e-health administration, in cooperation with the pharmacy sector within the Ministry of Health. It will soon be available at www.lekovi.zdravstvo.gov.mk, once the amendments to the regulation are published in the Official Gazette.

"The module enables electronic submission of applications and uploading the required documents on the specific drug in the system, which were submitted in hard copy until now,' said Minister Aliu.

According to him, the module would ensure transparency in the process through a publicly available web-portal and monitoring of processes in real time.

Aliu said the benefits of the new e-module include improved management of the applications and increased efficiency of the procedure, reducing the administrative burden for pharmaceutical companies, transparency of the procedure and information exchange, precise records and data management, and easy access to data.
