Skopje, 29 January 2023 (MIA) – Bloc 1 of mining-energy combine (REK) Bitola has been reconnected to the country’s power grid and supplies electricity since Saturday afternoon, said Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM).  

“The Bloc was disconnected due to several interventions at different positions in order to increase the stability of the plant,” ESM notes.  

It adds that in line with its production plan, REK Bitola’s Bloc 2 will be disconnected during next week.  

“Bloc 2 is planned to undergo repair and rehabilitation activities over the course of ten days,” said ESM.
