Skopje, 21 October 2022 (MIA) – Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM) said Friday it currently produces electricity through two blocks in mining-power complex (REK) Bitola, one block in REK Oslomej and hydro power plants that are used primarily for system services. The company said considering it produces electricity with three blocks of the thermal power plants and favorable weather conditions, consumption is met with the specified capacities. Thermal power plant (TEC) Negotino was working during the period during the overhaul of Rec Bitola bloc 1, and after it has been reengaged in the system, conditions were created to shut down TEC Negotino and service it in order to strengthen the plant and make it more reliable for the next period, when consumption will increase and when all ESM capacities are to be used. dk/ik/
