Skopje, 10 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Energy, Mining and Minerals Sanja Bozhinovska held a meeting Wednesday with Italian Ambassador Andrea Silvestri, during which they discussed the relations and cooperation between the two countries in economy and energy.

According to a press release by the Ministry, at the meeting Bozhinovska noted that the Republic of North Macedonia has a constant interest to promote its bilateral relations with the Italian Republic, as one of the country’s key partners, stressing that as Energy Minister she will work towards making sure that energy holds a significant position in the overall cooperation between the two countries.

“In this context, the Minister noted that Italian experiences and expertise in using European funds and finance aimed at green transition and decarbonization are very significant for the country and she conveyed interest in establishing cooperation between the two countries in this field,” the press release said.

The Minister, added the press release, familiarized the Ambassador with the mission and priorities of the new Ministry, stressing that she expects active cooperation with the Italian partners, as well as increased interest and realization of Italian investments in the field of energy during the Government’s term.
