Skopje, 20 May 2023 (MIA) - The Embassy of Sweden in Skopje is organizing an event "Good Vibrations - Music & Innovations" at Shkolka in the City Part at 6 pm on Saturday. 

The even will focus on Swedish music and innovations, the Embassy of Sweden said in a press release. DJ Vaso and Bendoff will be performing hit songs by Swedish bands, singers, as well as producers and songwriters.  

Visitors will have the opportunity to look at the digital exhibition "Swedish Music Moments", as well as “Pioneer the Possible” exhibition with selection of Swedish innovations and Swedish companies in North Macedonia. 

Greetings from the Ambassador will be followed by a discussion “Start it Up! - Inspiration for Innovation” introducing some of the Macedonian youth startups and their journey, as part of the ecosystem of support to young entrepreneurs. 

This year marks 500 years since Gustav Vasa was elected king, which laid the foundation of Sweden as an independent state. The event will also celebrate the 30 years diplomatic relations between North Macedonia and Sweden, which holds the current EU Presidency. Yet another reason to celebrate is Sweden winning the Eurovision Song Contest, thus making history by bringing the country the 7th victory, adds the Embassy of Sweden. 

In addition, visitors will be able to taste typical sweets from Sweden - strawberry cake and cinnamon buns - first come first serve. 

The event is organized by the Embassy of Sweden, ​​in partnership with the Swedish Institute, with sponsorship from the Swedish company "Diaverum" and the company "Sinpex", which represents the Swedish brand "Husqvarna", and in cooperation with the Swedish companies "Polar Cape" and "Oriflame".
