Bitola, 25 February 2024 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE's presidential candidate Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova will be backed before the State Election Commission (SEC) with signatures from both the MPs and the citizens, said the party's leader Hristijan Mickoski. 

During Sunday's visit to Bitola, Mickoski called on the citizens of Bitola to support Siljanovska-Davkova en masse on March 3.

"Next Saturday we will hold a convention to elect, I would say, the future President of Macedonia, which is professor Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova. Since the legal requirement is to submit the bid in two ways, i.e. collection of signatures from the citizens or by submitting signatures from MPs, which we fulfil, I would like to call on the citizens of Bitola, because now I see some people collecting signatures from the opposition of the opposition and pretending to be the opposition of the opposition for which they will get signatures from SDSM and DUI, I ask the citizens of Bitola that we collect on March 3, next week, a record number of signatures for the future President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova," said Mickoski, reiterating that supporting signatures from the MPs will be presented to the SEC along with supporting signatures from citizens.
