Skopje, 18 February 2023 (MIA) — Economics experts including Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi will gather in Tetovo for a conference on economic literacy and education.

Organized by Liberal Alternative Institute with support of the Economic Fundamentals Initiative from the United States, the #EconLit2023 Conference will feature three sessions.

The first session will focus on the current state of economic literacy in North Macedonia to pinpoint problems and initiate solutions.

The second session will address the quality of economic and financial education in secondary and higher education, highlighting best practices for teaching these concepts.

The third session will zero in on the question of how economic and financial education can be used to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.

“The goal of the conference is to promote greater understanding of economic concepts and to support the development of effective interventions for economic literacy in North Macedonia,” organizers say. mr/
