Skopje, 23 October 2023 (MIA) - The 14th edition of the Echo Mountain Film Festival kicks off Monday at the Youth Cultural Center (MKC).

Deepfreeze Directissime Walker (France), To the hills & back (Canada) and Subterranean  (Canada) will open the festival at MKC's Cinema Frosina.

The Echo Mountain Film Festival will run through October 27, with this year's program incuding 55 films. 

In cooperation with the Cinematheque, the festival will also show archival footage by documentary filmmaker Trajche Popov. 

"For this year's edition, we managed to put together a program of 55 films, a book promotion, four presentations, a master class with a Polish filmmaker, environmental panel discussion, film focus on a Macedonian author, documentary filmmaker Trajche Popov (projected on a film strip at the Cinematheque)," said the organizers. 

This year's Echo film festival also includes Best Mountain Photography competition, a meeting of the International Alliance for Mountain Film, photography exhibition, as well as four workshops for children.
