Durmishi - Grigoryan: Committed to strengthening cooperation for economic growth and job creation

Skopje, 18 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi met Thursday with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to North Macedonia, Armen Grigoryan, discussing present and future cooperation between the Ministry and UNDP.
Minister Durmishi expressed gratitude for UNDP's contribution to the enhancement of North Macedonia's sustainable development, the Ministry of Economy and Labor said in a press release.
The Ministry of Economy and Labor has new priorities with the latest reorganization and will focus on improving the country's business climate, supporting local companies and entrepreneurship, and improving conditions for foreign investments, including the labor market. Support from various partners is of great importance for the current and future development of the state and private sector in North Macedonia.
Durmishi also stressed that UNDP is an important partner to the Ministry of Economy and Labor and expressed confidence the already established cooperation will continue in the future by planning and realizing priority projects that positively impact the economy and people’s lives, while addressing socio-economic challenges and promoting sustainable development.
He added that the Ministry is committed to improving cooperation with UNDP in the area of economic development, job creation, and support for EU integration. ssh/ik/
