Durmishi - Dudziak: Cooperation continues in area of entrepreneurship and labour market

Skopje, 10 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Economy and Labour Besar Durmishi met Wednesday with the UN Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia, Rossana Dudziak.
Dudziak briefed participants in the meeting on the activities of the United Nations in the Republic of North Macedonia and the cooperation with the ministries, especially in terms of the implementation of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Dudziak particularly focused on the activities in the area of entrepreneurship, employment of vulnerable groups, the favourable business climate and the economic and social dialogue, expressing readiness to deepen cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Labour in the coming period, the Ministry said in a press release.
According to Minister Durmishi, the meeting is an excellent opportunity to exchange views and ideas on how to deepen cooperation between the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia, the UN agencies and the Ministry of Economy and Labour. He expressed gratitude to the UN agencies in the country for the activities they are implementing in the area of the labour market, support to entrepreneurship, employment, regional development, good governance, social inclusion, as well as protection of the environment.
Interlocutors agreed that cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and Labour and the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator and the UN agencies in the country should continue and be promoted in the coming period, while also ensuring intersectoral coordination and cooperation on complex issues on the labour market.
