Skopje, 6 May 2024 (MIA) - Arber Ademi Vice President of DUI, which is a part of the European Front coalition, urged citizens at a press conference Monday to vote of their own free will at the May 8 elections.
"Regarding the presidential elections, the citizens should decide how to behave in the second round of the presidential elections. They are free to vote on the basis of their own free will. They will have to decide how to act. On Wednesday we invite you to be a part of the national referendum, more than ever before to support the European Front's platform. No one can interrupt our country's European path," Ademi said.
Ademi said they haven't had any official meetings with representatives of either of the two parties of ethnic Macedonians to discuss an endorsement of their presidential candidates.
"We haven't had an official meeting. However the statements of one of the candidates, i.e., Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, are regretful. With her discourse and rhetoric she is taking us back to the past, and that past hasn't brought us any good. The European Front will win convincingly at these elections. We will win because that's the will of the people. These elections have a special and very important symbolism - victory of the European agenda over the Russian, victory of the brighter future over the attempts to take us back to the time before 2001," Ademi said.
