DUI: Green agenda advances the vote of Albanians in Veles
Skopje, 2 October 2021 (MIA) – DUI on Saturday as part of its election campaign ahead of the October 17 local elections presented its program, based on the green agenda and including projects for improving the standards for living, in the Municipality of Veles.
The list of candidates running for councilors in the Municipality of Veles, led by Nevzat Muaremi, was also promoted at a rally, which saw DUI leader Ali Ahmeti delivering an address.
Ahmeti said his party remains committed to development and making the Albanians in Veles a factor by implementing the party’s green agenda.
“We’re promoting now a green agenda because we believe the normative part of the Ohrid Agreement was completed. Other issues remain to be materialized, including the language law after Albanian was made official and there’s room for improvement in that segment. This platform is as modern as it is national,” said Ahmeti
Addressing the event, First Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi said his party DUI when in the role of decision maker, makes decisions that benefit not only Albanians, but also all other ethnic communities.
On Sunday, DUI will campaign in Studenichane to promote the mayoral candidate, Ejup Abazi.
