Dojran, 13 February 2023 (MIA) - The Municipality of Dojran has received EUR 1,300,000 from Slovenia for the construction of a water treatment plant, said Mayor Ango Angov. 

He noted that together with funds received from the Government, in the amount of Mden 135 million, the decade-long problem with the collector system and waste water treatment will finally be resolved. 

"We got a positive response from Slovenia's Center for International Cooperation and Development (CMSR) regarding a project proposal promoting the protection of the monument of nature - Lake Dojran through improved wastewater treatment in Dojran Municipality. Thanks to the excellent cooperation of the Municipality of Dojran with the Embassy of Slovenia and with Ambassador Milan Predan, EUR 1,300,000 will be allocated for the construction of a new treatment plant. The proposed project has been positively evaluated and will be included in the CMSR program for the implementation of international development cooperation for the period 2023 - 2024," said Angov.
