Documents on North Macedonia not designated as confidential: Bulgarian MFA
Sofia, 21 June 2022 (MIA) – Documents on the negotiations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia are not designated as confidential and are entered in the public records of the National Assembly and the Council of Ministers, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday, MIA reports from Sofia. The press release comes in response to the call of the ruling party We Continue the Change of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov to Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska to remove the confidentiality designation from the documents related to North Macedonia. The documents are marked by the following numbers: entry № КВП – 47-253-05-71 / 20.06.2022; exit № 01-00-233 / 20.06.2022; entry № КВП – 47-253-05-72 / 20.06.2022; exit № 01-00-233 / 17.06.2022; entry № 04.06-781 / 20.06.2022; exit № 29.01.9 / 20.06.2022. The documents are available to all deputies of the National Assembly, says the MFA. This comes amid the parliamentary debate on the government no-confidence vote, during which MP Toshko Yordanov of There is Such a People party that left the ruling coalition labeled Petkov as “traitor” accusing him of working together with his advisors “against the national interest of Bulgaria with regards to North Macedonia.”
