Skopje, 28 May 2024 (MIA) – ZNAM leader Maksim Dimitrievski, who has been elected as member of Parliament while also being the mayor of the city of Kumanovo, said that the five ZNAM MPs will vote for Afrim Gashi to be elected as parliament speaker if he was nominated.

Speaking to reporters before the start of today’s constitutive session in Parliament, he wished the new lawmakers success.

“ZNAM expects a lot from the incoming members of Parliament. I believe that as a potential coalition partner in the new government we will play our part with our political actions because we’ve been seriously discussing the implementation of some of our program commitments in the new government program and the new government,” stated Dimitrievski.

Asked about the ongoing government formation talks, the party leader said they haven’t yet agreed any posts.

The distribution of ministries, Dimitrievski noted, comes second for us, top priority is what we promised during the election campaign.
