Dimitrieska-Kochoska: Projected growth of 3.5% in 2025 and 3.8% in 2026 confirms country moving in right direction

Skopje, 28 November 2025 (MIA) - We have realistic projections of 3.5% growth this year and 3.8% next year, which is proof that the country is moving in the right direction, Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska said.

On TV 24, she highlighted that while public debt was projected at 62.1%, it is expected to finish the year below 61%, serving as a clear signal that the government is acting carefully, steadily, and responsibly.

“We are already working on preparing the material needed for issuing the Eurobond, and in this regard, the parameters are excellent compared to all neighboring countries. You know, public debt becomes a concern when the average growth over seven years is only 1.6 or 1.8%,” she said.

“Public debt becomes a concern when growth is low. Public debt is not worrying when we have projected growth rates of 3.5% and 3.8%, which we will achieve. There is no greater proof that the government is acting correctly than the GDP growth. Clearly, GDP growth rates reflect whether the policy is good,” Dimitrieska-Kochoska said.
