Skopje, 5 July 2024 (MIA) - Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska met Friday with EU Ambassador David Geer, discussing upcoming reforms facing the country during its European integration process, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release.
Interlocutors exchanged views on the ministry’s activities, as a coordinating institution within the Economic-Financial Dialogue with the EU, including the country's Reform Agenda for the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, which will be implemented by the Ministry of Finance and Ministry for European Affairs.
"The Ministry of Finance has been coordinating activities within the Economic-Financial Dialogue for more than 10 years and there is continuity in that process. We will use this experience within the reform process for the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans," Dimitrieska-Kochoska said.
She also noted that reforms related to the Ministry of Finance within the EU integration process will be the focus of the work as they signify progress of the processes and aligning with EU standards.
The meeting highlighted that EU has been an important supporter since the country's independence and that such support will continue in the future. ssh/nn/
