Deputy PM meets Special Representatives of Norway and Slovenia for Western Balkans

Skopje, 15 March 2023 (MIA) – Deputy PM and Minister for Political Systems and Community Relations Artan Grubi met Wednesday with Special Representative of Norway for the Western Balkans, Arne Sannes Bjørnstad and Special Representative of Slovenia for the Western Balkans, Anzej Franges, discussing North Macedonia's European perspective, as well as the successfully overcome challenges through the Ohrid Agreement, the Prespa Agreement, the Good-neighborliness Agreement with Bulgaria, as well as the importance of approving the constitutional amendments for all necessary reforms to realize the country's European integration.

Grubi told Franges and Bjørnstad about the Government’s commitment to further strengthen the country’s development path in a pro-European spirit, for the historic agreement signed for the construction of Corridors 8 and 10D, which are very significant for the strengthening of the economic support among the countries of the region, and their significance for the fulfillment of the European standard of modern infrastructure connectivity among countries.

Grubi asked the Republic of Slovenia and the Kingdom of Norway for support in the key moments of North Macedonia’s European future, the Ministry of Political System said in a press release.

The special representatives of Slovenia and Norway expressed their respective countries’ positions in support of North Macedonia’s aspiration to integrate into the EU. dk/ik/
