Skopje, 15 June 2022 (MIA) – European Council President Charles Michel, who is visiting the Republic of North Macedonia as part of his Balkan tour, was welcomed at Ohrid Airport on Wednesday afternoon by the Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj.
Deputy PM Marichikj warmly welcomed the European Council President Michel and expressed great satisfaction with his visit, which takes place at an especially important moment for our country and the entire region.
"On the eve of the EU June Summit, this visit is a great opportunity to reiterate with Mr. Michel our position on strategic commitment and partnership with the EU, but also to discuss future plans for further development of the Western Balkans and the EU," Marichikj said.
Michel will also take part at the June 16-17 Prespa Forum for Dialogue in Ohrid, hosted by the Government. President Pendarovski will deliver the forum’s opening remarks, with the first high-level session to include his counterparts from Slovenia, Croatia, Kosovo and Montenegro.
