Deputy PM Marichikj to sign IPA crossborder cooperation programme with Serbia

Skopje, 26 June 2023 (MIA) - Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj is set to sign a trilateral financial agreement on crossborder cooperation North Macedonia-Serbia-European Union in Nis on Monday.
The IPA Crossborder Cooperation Programme, adopted by the European Commission on 3 June 2022, has a total budget of EUR 9.7 million, of which EUR 8.4 million as EU grant, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
Deputy PM Marichikj will sign the first allocation worth EUR 3.6 million alongside Serbian Minister of European Integration Tanja Miščević and EU Ambassador to Serbia, Emanuele Giaufret.
The funds will focus on socio-economic and tourism development in the crossborder region that includes the areas of Jablanica and Pcinja in Serbia, and the Northeast and part of the Skopje region in North Macedonia.
