Deputy PM Marichikj to participate in Civil Society Forum in Tirana

Skopje, 15 October 2023 (MIA) – Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European affairs, Bojan Marichikj, is to participate Sunday in the Civil Society Forum held in Tirana on the topic “Unlocking Progress: The European Future of the Western Balkans.”
In a press release, the Secretariat for European Affairs said at the closing of the Forum Marichikj will exchange ideas and send messages at the thematic discussion “Unlocking Progress: What’s Next?” with Michael Roth, the Chair of the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee, being the keynote speaker. The Deputy PM will also hold a bilateral meeting with Roth.
“Civil Society Forum 2023, held on October 14 and 15 in Tirana, is organized by the Open Society Foundation – Western Balkans, in cooperation with the Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy, and the Cooperation and Development Institute. The goal of the Forum is to provide a key platform for constructive dialogue and cooperation that will contribute to the promotion of the interests of the Western Balkans and encourage positive changes in the region,” said the press release.
The Forum is being held ahead of the Berlin Process Summit to be held Monday in Tirana, which will be attended by a government delegation led by Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski.
