Deputy PM Marichikj takes part in 18. Salzburg Europe Summit
Skopje, 24 October 2022 (MIA) – Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj is taking part on Monday in the 18th Salzburg Europe Summit at the invitation of founder and chairman of the Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE) Franz Schausberger.   Deputy PM Marichikj will address a panel on Will Europe survive its Crises? Alongside Vice-President of the European Parliament Nicola Beer, Secretary General of the Austrian Foreign Ministry Peter Launsky-Tieffenthal, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank EIB Lilyana Pavlova, and State Secretary for European Affairs and International Law of the Republic of Slovenia Marko Štucin.    On the sidelines of the summit, Marichikj will meet with EU Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn, Secretary General of the Austrian Foreign Ministry Launsky-Tieffenthal, and Director of EU Funds Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Serbia, Aleksandar Simurdic.   The official part of the summit will be opened by host Franz Schausberger, and the panel which will be addressed by Marichikj will start with a keynote address by Federal Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer, EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, and Federal Minister for the EU and Constitution of Austria Karoline Edtstadler.   The 18. Salzburg Europe Summit taking place Oct. 23-25, 2022, is held under the auspices of President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen and Federal Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer. This year the summit is held under the theme Europe and Peace, Visions for Europe: Expectations and Reality.   The summit opens an opportunity to consider the possibilities for jointly dealing with the challenges facing the whole of Europe and for speeding up the process of accession to the EU.   The entire 18th Salzburg Europe Summit will be broadcast online and the livestream is available on http://www.salzburg-europe-summit.eu/livestream .
