Deputy PM Marichikj meets with Atlantic Council’s Jörn Fleck

Skopje, 22 January 2024 (MIA) – Deputy Prime Minister for European affairs, Bojan Marichikj, met Monday with Jörn Fleck, Senior Director of the Europe Center at the Atlantic Council. North Macedonia’s commitment to accelerate the Euro-integrations process and become a member of the European Union by 2030 was stressed at the meeting, said the Secretariat for European Affairs in a press release Monday.
According to the Secretariat, Director Jörn Fleck pointed to North Macedonia as a positive example of stability and security in the region. He highlighted the country’s achievements and progress, especially after the Prespa Agreement and NATO membership.
At the meeting, Marichikj and Fleck voiced their joint priorities for the support and realization of reforms on the path to the EU.
Interlocutors also recognized the Government’s ongoing cooperation and commitment to ensuring a secure and stable development of the country on its path to the EU, said the Secretariat.
