Deputy PM Grubi meets new Swedish Ambassador Larsson-Jain
Skopje, 6 October 2022 (MIA) – First Deputy PM Artan Grubi met Thursday with new Swedish Ambassador to North Macedonia, Ami Larsson-Jain, discussing bilateral relations, the important decisions that North Macedonia has made to build strong foundations of a democratic society, based on the values of equality and consensual democracy, as well as integration in Euro-Atlantic institutions. Deputy PM Grubi briefed Ambassador Larsson-Jain over the country’s progress on the EU path through the opening of the accession negotiations, while thanking Sweden for its support amid this exceptionally important process for the country’s progressive future, his Office said in a press release. Grubi also referred to the Government’s commitment for adoption of the constitutional changes, the intensive preparations for the screening process that is set to begin on November 7 and efforts in the field of rule of law and fight against corruption. Ambassador Larsson-Jain thanked North Macedonia for its support to Sweden’s NATO accession and highlighted Stockholm’s backing of Skopje’s EU integration, reads the press release.
