Deputy PM Grkovska meets AmCham representatives
Skopje, 4 August 2022 (MIA) – Deputy PM for good governance policies Slavica Grkovska held Thursday a working meeting with a delegation of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), for talks on deepening mutual cooperation, particularly in terms of the process of digital transformation of society.   The AmCham delegation included Executive Director Jelena Arsovska, Chairperson of the Digital Transformation Committee Andrej Petreski, Members of the Committee Goce Mitevski and Dimitar Janevski, and Member of the Board of Directors of AmCham Jordan Dimitrovski.    Deputy PM Grkovska briefed participants in the meeting on current projects related to the digital transformation of society that are implemented in the country, as well as projects that should be implemented in order to ensure the optimization of processes and their digitalization, the Government said in a press release. Grkovska stressed it is very important to standardize the processes to enable an efficient and coordinated approach that will give swift results.   “Interlocutors highlighted as priorities in the process of digital transformation the cybersecurity, standardization of processes for digital exchange of documents between institutions, a law on archive operations to standardize the process for archiving digital documents, and placed special emphasis on ICT engineers and finding a suitable model that will enable their retention in the system. The AmCham representatives expressed readiness for cooperation, noting that digital transformation of society is very important for the country, and therefore it is necessary to have a structured approach, coordinated by the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia,” reads the press release.   Talks concluded that support in the process of digital transformation of society is particularly significant, particularly in terms of strengthening the institutions’ capacities, and participants agreed for close mutual cooperation in exchanging ideas and experience.
