Deputy PM Dimitrov meets outgoing Czech Ambassador Toman
Skopje, 13 December 2021 (MIA) – Deputy PM for European Affairs Nikola Dimitrolv held Monday a farewell meeting with Czech Ambassador to North Macedonia Miroslav Toman. Deputy PM Dimitrov thanked the outgoing Ambassador for the strong and principled support of the Czech Republic as a stable and credible partner of the country and the region, and for the genuine commitment for success on the path towards the EU, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release. “Your actions in North Macedonia reaffirmed the Czech Republic’s commitment to promoting and defending European values, including solidarity manifested in the context of dealing with the pandemic and its effects. I hope that during the Czech EU Presidency we’ll cooperate even more closely and in the phase of negotiations for which the Czech Republic is among the most vocal supporters,” Dimitrov stressed. Ambassador Toman, commenting on the achievements during his term, highlighted North Macedonia’s decisive and mature steps in the reform process, pointing out that start of accession negotiations is more than deserved. “Interlocutors expressed readiness to maintain and promote excellent bilateral relations and achieve common strategic goals. Deputy PM Dimitrov wished Ambassador Toman success in his future endeavors, as well as prosperity to the country and its citizens,” reads the press release.
