Skopje, 24 November 2021 (MIA) – Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi met on Wednesday with the newly appointed Israeli Ambassador to North Macedonia Simona Frankel and discussed promoting economic cooperation, with special focus on innovation and startup ecosystem development. Interlocutors, Bytyqi’s office said in a press release, underlined enormous potential for partnership and exchange of experiences in regard to innovation in agriculture and manufacturing, as well as startup development. Bytyqi and Frankel also highlighted excellent bilateral relations and expressed readiness to promote them further. At the start of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed condolences from the people of Israel to Macedonian citizens and the families of the victims in the tragic bus accident that happened in Bulgaria. Bytyqi congratulated Frankel on her new post as Ambassador and expressed wishes for cooperation between Israel and North Macedonia, as well as excellent diplomatic relations, to enhance during her term.
